Delete your Lingo account

You can delete your Lingo account and the data linked to it at any time. Lingo is developed by Aissam Abouqassime El Edrissi.

Option 1: in the app (instant)

Open Lingo and tap your profile picture (top right) to open Preferences.
Tap “Delete account”.
Confirm with “Delete my account”.

Your account is deleted right away and you're signed out.

Option 2: without the app

Email support@eledrissi.dev from the Google account email you use with Lingo, with the subject “Delete my Lingo account”. We'll confirm the request and delete your account within 30 days.

Have Lingo Pro? Deleting your account doesn't cancel your subscription. Cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions first.

What gets deleted

Your account: email address, name, and profile picture.
Your usage, bonus character balance, and Lingo Pro status, including the purchase token.
Your invite code, your invite history as an inviter, and the hashed device identifiers linked to your account.
Your translation history on this device (in-app deletion). On other devices, it's removed when you uninstall Lingo.

What we keep

A record that an invite bonus was claimed on a device: a one-way device hash and a random ID, with no name or email. It stops the same device from claiming another bonus and is kept while the invite program runs.
Google Play keeps its own purchase records under Google's policies.
